Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
FDCPA violation limitation on suit
My question is two part:
First, I have confirmed violations of the FDCPA from 2 years ago by a collection agency representing a card company. I have extensive documentation of the violations. What is the Statute of Limitations on persuing a legal remedy against the CA for the violations.
Second, the debt in dispute is over a Corporate Credit card in the name of a company that went bankrupt. Can I be held responsible for those charges when I was ordered to make the purchases? The company discontinued the card when I stopped working for them, not I.
