Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
I gave money to a friend and now refuses I ever gave him any money
I gave a rather large amount of money to a friend without having him sign any papers. He now refuses he got any money from me and of course refuses to pay me back. As a proof I only have a text message in my mobile that says he thanks me and he will pay me back the money litle by litle without mentioning the amount though. Also have the credit card receipt from which I withdrew the money to give it to him. Nothing else. How can I get my money back?

The only thing you can do is sue him, and let the judge decide who is telling the truth. The small claims limit in Illinois is $10,000.00.
