Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I'm in Illinois. I agreed to pay a set judgement amount in small claims court to my ex-husband. I paid it off but now it's paid his attorney is telling me that I owe interest on the judgement amount. No one ever mentioned interest nor is it in any paperwork that I signed. Had I know that there was interest, I would have paid it off sooner than the $150 a month that was agreed upon. Was the attorney not required to disclose to me about the interest when the judgment was made?
