What is the difference between a memorandum of judgement, and a judgement or is there a difference?

A judgment is the the piece of paper which the winning side receives from the court once a judge issues a judgment. So that paper would have the caption of the case and legal language indicating the amount of the judgment, what type of judgemnt and on and on.

A memorandum of judgment is a piece of paper which has a brief "description of the judgment and is also signed by the judge. The primary purpose of the memorandum of judgment is its the piece of paper which you can record with the recorder of deeds office to put a lien on property. Hope that helps
