Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Judgment after ajudication

I won a settlement in a lawsuit and my medical bills were larger than settlement. All bills were ajudicated. Four years later I receive my credit report with a judgment on it. I was never notified. According to who filed judgment ''they can still come after me for full amount.'' Is this infact a true statment and how long do they have to collect this judgment. Does this stay on my credit report forever if it never gets paid? There has been no contact made to me to collect this as of yet.
