What do we do about leins from creditors we don't beleive we owe?

I'm newly married but my husband has been divorced for 8 years. His condo is still in his and his ex-wife's name. We recently went into forclosure and paid what was owed to settle the matter. Soon after we recieved suit papers from a company whose name we do not recognize. We went back and reviewed the forclosure paperwork and this company, in addition to two others, have lein's on the property. My husband does not recall purchasing anything from any of them and he says he never rec'd paperwork from them requesting money. How did we get judgements against us that we don't even know about? Do we have to pay them or can we dispute? We don't have the sums of money they say they are owed.

Could File suit to quiet Title, but basicaly you are attacking established judgments which is hard, unless the defect of service of process is apparent in the courts file, then you are challenging someones sworn statement they served your husband, at his usual abode over/ 16years of age
