loan to a relative and getting repaid

I loaned a large sum of money a few years ago to a relative. We didn't sign any documents or anything but I was told I would get repaid. At the time I was a minor, not sure if it is important. What can I do to recoup that amount?

Ask for it, and if that fails your only alternative may be to sue the individual. Might make family reunions a bit uncomfortable though....
