Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
If a medical office has sent me their payment schedule and I have verbally contacted them and they agreed to me submitting a smaller $ amount each month, can they report me as making late payments or send me to collection since I am paying some amount every month in good faith toward my medical bill? Do I need to confirm some type of payment schedule with them in writing or just make some $ payment each month to them?

You should always have agreements in writing.
It would be best to put the agreement in writing. If you want to challenge the reporting, you will need to "prove your case," and having something in writing will go a long way. To discuss further, please call 773-684-5730.
