Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I owe $20K in CC and $7K on a small business loan. Should I use a debt consolidation or let them put a lien on the house and pay when I sell?

I personally despise debt consolidation co.'s.

You can do everything yourself that a debt consolidation company can do for you, often for much cheaper.
