Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I rented a tv from a rental store and stopped payments on it now they are taking me to court I told them that I would return the tv but their lawyer said that they don't wont the tv they wont there money what do I do now.

Pay the bill. You had no right to stop paying. You make no claim of any wrongdoing on the part of the rental company. The TV is not worth much. It's used. They are entitled to enforce their lease agreement.
