Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Repaying a Judgment

Had an unpaid chiropractor bill that was agreed to pay when I went back to work...am on disability and low income and offered to pay only the $550 amount and the check was returned saying that was not enough and that $550 was not a good amount that I needed to pay entire judgment ... the person who placed judgment had purchased the accounts of the business and did not treat me nor did he understand my unempl situation. How do I negotiate this ? am trying to get credit rating in good standing ...for 4 years now PLEASE HELP not a deadbeat but 17 year cancer survivor
