responsibilty

my son is 20 years old, lives at home, unemployed and does whatever he wants. I claimened him as a dependent on my taxes.one night he had to be hospilitized and held for 5 days. The hospitial bills are thousands of dollars. Am I responsible for the hospitial bills?
