Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
I co signed for my wife on a car, we got divorced and she got the ca(in the divorce papers it is hers)..she stopped paying and the car was repossessed, the judge told the attorney debt collector to go after her and not paying at all, she was supposed to pay $200 a month and is not following judgement and now they want me to pay..am I responsible? I am remarried and do not want to pay this bill. She told me she traded the car in.

As to the car loan company, your agreement with your wife does not control. If your former wife is not paying, then you need to file a Petition for Rule against her for her violation of the judgment.
