Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
My sister opened a credit card for her ex boyfriend in her name and let him use it. She gave him the password so he could pay the bill. He then took it upon himself to activate his own name and raise the limit without her knowledge and max it out. She had no knowledge of that until they broke up and and realized what he had done. Does she have any legal action she can take to get some if not all of the money back?

She may be able to sue him. However, what is the likelihood that he has the ability to pay a judgment.
