being taken to small claims court

I rec'vd a summons last week for an unpid crddit card debt. I recently filed chapter 13 but my court date is in a couple of days & I was told I had to still apper in court since it's around the corner. What is the procedure on this. Will they expect me to have the money?? Can I file a continuence.

Since the amt there asking for is probally not the correct amt of moies owed.

Just bring a notice of the bankruptcy filing with you. If the creditor wants any money they have to file a claim through your chapter 13 bankruptcy. When the case is called just show the attorney and the judge the notice and they will most likely continue the case to make sure your chapter 13 case gets confirmed.
