Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

My son and his wife are getting a divorce. Several years ago we lent them money and he has tried to pay it back . She has not done her share. Do I have a leagle right to go after her for her share of this money?

His share is 100% of what is owed. Unless you have two separate notes - one from each, thgey are jointly liable. Stay out of their divorce. Let you kid argue she should pay "her share" and see what his divorce lawyer or the judge says.

You fail to give us enough facts. Is there any writing on this "loan"? If not, was the money used for marital expenses? You may have the right to seek collection from your son's wide depending upon the facts. Also, if the amount of money involved justifies the expense, you may want to hire an attorney.
