Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

My son's ex-girlfriend lived with us and our son for the last 2 1/2 years and they had verbally agreed to pay us rent and food, they never paid. Can we take her to court now for all that beck money? Withoput a written agreement?

And then she will look to your son for contribution, and the judge is going to want to know why you waited 2.5 years to bring suit, and IF you get a judgment, she could file bankruptcy. Just let it go. Litigation takes a great deal of time, money, and energy.
