statue of limitations on medical bills in illinios
My fiancee has a severly disabled daughter with tons of medical bills. Her prognosis in not good, but we have no idea how long she will be with us. She was not supposed to outlive infancy, however she is turning 7 next month. We had heard that there was a statue of limitations on medical bills of 5 years. Some of her bills have gone to collections. He pays all the debtors $5 a month, each since there is so many. Some of the bills are from 2001. So, is there truth to the statue of limitations? Also, after she passes, is he still liable for all her bills. My husband had died and I was not liable, but I know with her being a minor child it is probably different.

Written contracts a ten years otherwise the statute is 5 years, unless you make payment and that extends the statute.

My suggestion would be to pay the 5/mnth until things change
