Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Statue of Limitations

I'm being summoned to appear at court for a 7 yrs old credit card debt. Can I use the SOL (in illinois) to get my case dismissed? If I can do I have to go file for the motion for dismissal or on my court date can i bring it up then?
