Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I took out a student loan when I was sixteen (a minor) and now eleven years later my income tax check was garnished. Is it legal to garnish my tax return even though I was a minor when the loan was taken out?

You would have to take them to court and fight it. You do have a defense as a contract with a minor is voidable.
