how do i sue someone in chicago and i live in michigan

i loan someone some money in ill on dec5,2007 i have been asking for my money over and over he keep stateing that he would send it to me. today was the last day that i'm not going to waite how do i go about this

You have two choices: sue them in Michigan and then certify any judgment you get in IL for someone to collect on it or just hire an attorney in chicago to do it. I know collection attorneys throughout the US and would love to help.
