I am being sued for a dept and have a filling date on 4/2/14.I was served with summons papers and did not sign or respond.I have to fill out an appearance form.I am going in person.What can I expect?The dept 10,000

On the return date, you are supposed to file your apearance, Evry county has slightly different procedures, but usually on that date you will be given a trial date, Dependig on the amount you are being sued for, you may have to file an answer. If you owe the money and they have the appropriate proof that you owe it, then a judgmeentwill eventually entered against you, But they have to be able to estabkish they are entitked to payment.
