Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

summons for debt collection

I have not worked since June 3rd 2006. I had complications of diabetes, I had a toe amputated on one foot. and had half my foot amputed on the other, hard to walk without pain, am on dissability and am struggling to make ends meet and am unable to work. what are my legal options. thank you for your help.

I am sorry to hear about your problems. Unfortunately, those will not be useful defenses in your lawsuit. You should not ignore the summons. If you do, a default judgment will be entered against you.
