Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
During the time my step-daughter and her fiance were together, they borrowed from her father and I over $8000 to cover bills and rent. They were specifically layed out as personal loans. As they are no longer together, my step-daughter has taken responsibility for half of these loans. What is the procedure to obtain the other half from her former partner? He is living in North Carolina.
