Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
Turnover Order
I was due in court today for citation to discover assets. I was there 30 minutes early and was 30 minutes late because the line to get into the building was so long due to the security metal detetctors. My bank account was frozen and now the judge signed to go ahead and sieze all my money. Is that really fair since it was the courthouse that caused me to be late??

Re: Turnover Order
Whether it is fair or not, the judge likely would have turned over the funds assuming the judgment was still owed unless you had a valid reason to claim the funds were exempt. If you believe the funds were wrongly turned over I suggest you contact an attorney that can help you with this matter.
