Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I worked for my previous employer for 4 years. I started from the bottom and worked my way up to manager my last year. The last year my boss started to get behind on all of our paychecks and in october he fired me for revealing this and for catching him in his illegal extar-curricular activites goin on in his life. Meanwhile he never paid me for 4 1/2 months of work and says that ill never see the money. The last paycheck given by him to me was for the month of may. That is the only record he and I both have of my last payment. Ther was 5 other employess who quit during this time period and it took him 6 months to pay them. Most of his current employees are not paid up to date. Is there anything I can do legally to collect my money because at the same time this has hurt my credit.

The fact that you were not paid for time worked is relevant. The rest is not. Contact the Illinois Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division or an attorney.
