Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
If 3 people are convicted of a federal crime can the feds make only one person of the 3 convicted pay restitution for all the defendants in the case. when they were all ordered to pay restitution

Depends upon the nature of the restitution order. Presumably the parties were found to be jointly and severally liable. If that's the case, yes, the feds can go after the lowest hanging fruit and then it's up to the one who paid to sue the others for contribution.
