Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My 18 year old daughter received an illegal consumption ticket from a small town police officer in Illinois. She was a passenger in a car parked at a convenience store and the officer approached them to see what they were doing. He administered a breathalyzer test and she blew a .155. She is a Senior in high school and an honor student, never been in trouble for anything else. She has a court date in a few days and we do not know what she should do...plead guilty and ask for court supervision? Will she have a misdemeanor record? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

I would strongly advise you to hire the best attorney you can afford. The negative consequences that might follow from mishandling this matter are far too serious to take any chances. Good lcuk to you and your daughter.
