Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I am a 35 year old man deciding what to do for a career. I am considering law and have one thing holding me back. In the past I had felony convictions. I cannot count on my record getting expunged so I am wondering if I can get into law school and succesfully complete it, are there any legal restrictions that would prevent me from being able to take the bar or be a licensed attorney due to my having a record?

I believe a felony conviction is a bar to becoming a licensed attorney in Illinois.
You should try and contact a law school to discuss their admission criteria.
I would start with John Marshall School of Law in Chicago, they are very helpful.
