I want to know if I could carry it self defensively or work such as cutting up boxes or both. Does it have to be Concealed or It has to be shown or either one ? You are absolutely asking for trouble. You do not need to carry this knife to cut up boxes, and carrying it for defense may wind up causing a lot more trouble than it could ever prevent. I would not be surprised if the police charged you with a weapons offense if they catch you with it.
