Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My 15 y/o daughter was in a hit and run accident in Aug. I just received a called from the states attorney office saying they found him but they are only offering him a year supervision. My daughter was hospitalized and due to the accident walks with a limp. Can I sue him and shouldn't he be getting more then a slap on the wrist. Please help me I don't know what to do.

You can sue the driver of the car for your daughter's injuries now that the police found him. There are time limits on filing lawsuit so you should discuss this with an attorney ASAP.
