Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My 20 yr old daughter moved out of our home while we were at work.. she has a learning disability and her new friends helped her do this.. is it considered theft for all partys that removed property from our home without our permission or knowledge

Who owned the property? If it was your daughter's, then no theft occurred. If it was your property, then it might be considered theft. But since your daughter was involved in removing it, I would be very careful about trying to pursue this criminally, since she might need to be charged as well. There is obviously more to this than a few items of personal property. Maybe you should try to get everyone together to discuss this.
