Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My 17 yrs old stepson is charged with a class 3 felony battery for pushing away and spitting in the face of a security guard at his school. School is aware he was in an outpatient program for both anger and depression. Yet, he received a 10 day suspension and charged as an adult. This is all occurred, based on my stepson's version, because the security guard allegedly grabbed him.

Your son needs to hire the best criminal defense attorney he can afford to represent him on the criminal charge. If he is located in my geographical area I might be able to offer him my services. I have been practicing criminal defense law in Illinois for over thirty years. No matter what he decides to do, I wish you and your son the best of luck.
