I would like to know what will happen with my daughter she was 37 when she was arrested for poss. of controlled substance. we didn't have money for an attorney so she pleaded guilty she drove a friend home and on the passenger side of the car the officer found 0.03 of cocaine and because she was the driver she had to take responsibility. Now she was given First time offender probartion and ordered to pay court fines she paid all of her fines and left the state of IL and it's been 6yrs. and 11 months ago. I need to know what is she facing for not completeing her probation? She wants to return but she does not want to go to jail Is she looking at jail time? Is there a Statue of limitations on this? Please help me, What should we do?

Re: Absconded

Your daughter is facing jail time on a violation of probation. She would have been eligible to expunge her record soon, but she messed that up by leaving without permission from the judge. Her first offender probation will now be permanently on her record as a conviction. Your daughter should have thought about the consequences before she left.
