Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
An acquaintance of mine who is in this country illegally got stopped by the police after he failed to stop for a stop sign. He got a ticket for running the stop sign and for driving without a license. He has never been in trouble before.
Can you tell me what is likely to happen when he goes to court for this?

Your "aquaintance" needs a criminal defense attorney.
His convistions may effect his immigration status if he ever wants to become a citizen.
Call or email me and we can discuss further. I have reasonable fees.

Driving without a license is now a Class A misdomeanor. That has a penalty of up to 364 days in jail. Have him hire a lawyer.
