As a defendant you have 3 options available to you. After providing an affidavit of your assets and liabilities, the court will determine if you qualify for the services of the public defender's office. If you do not, you have 2 options: hire an attorney or represent yourself. I would not recommend representing yourself, especially if you have criminal charges pending against you. Your record and possibly your freedom are at stake here. Some attorneys are willing to work with you and get you on a payment plan or work for a reduced rate.

Feel free to call me at 773-791-9682 if you would like to discuss your matter further.

Good luck,
