Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I was arrested at 16 in illinois for shoplifting, picked up by parent from station and showed up to court like I was supposed to and pleaded guilty... judge ordered that parent pay store the amount they asked forand I was let go. is this on my record as an adult? Is this an issue if filing for deferred action?

It would be helpful to know which court you appeared in. At 16 it should have been Juvenile Court. Sometimes in cases like this the juvenile is sent to adult court. If no one objects, then its taken care of there. It seems as if you were either given supervision, or the case was dismissed upon payment to the store. Either way you can have your record expunged, providing you have nothing else on it. Please call for more information or help getting your record expunged.
