Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Hi i was arrested in may 2010 for misdemeanor retail theft and i missed my court date due to the fact that i was not in the state at that time and did not recieve a rescheduled court date so now i was wondering what happens and what i should do? Is a warrant out for my arrest?

Yes, there is probably a warrant out for your arrest. You should hire an attorney who might be able to get the warrant cancelled or otherwise make arrangements for a voluntary surrender so that you can be processed and released as quickly and easily as possible. the attorney would then represent you on the pending criminal charge. If you are in my geographicasl area, I might be able to helpyou myself.
You can call the courthouse to see if a warrant has been issued for your arrest.
