Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I was arrested the other night for underage consumption, underage possession, fake ID, and trespassing. I am 19 and have no prior background, i was fully cooperative during my arrest and booking and the cop who booked me knew me personally and said since i was so cooperative that he would write me a really good report. Now i know 4 charges aren't looking too good for me but do you think it would be possible to have possibly one or two dropped and the other 2 or 3 turned into a lesser crime such as disorderly conduct or something of that nature?

Hello. My response is based upon the statement posted by you on this website. I do not know all the details of your arrest, but it will be up to the prosecutor to determine what charges will be brought against you. You certainly should hire an attorney experienced in the area of criminal law. He or she may be able to enter into a plea agreement on your behalf, or may decide that it is in your best interest to take the case to trial. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail. There are additional comments and suggestions that I can make.
