Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
When asked by a police officer if someone wanted to press charges against another person that person said no I don't want to press charges when asked a second time if they wanted to press charges against the same person they said no. The person was free to leave. Can that person weeks later come back and press charges against someone who was freed to leave with no charges pressed against them?
