Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Can a asst. States Attorney of IL., hold classes for Police Dept.on "presenting effective court testimony"?? This sounds and looks like it would be somehow illegal to do..

The Assistant State's Attorney can hold seminars like you are mentioning. There is nothing illegal about it. The prosecutor cannot coach or tell the witness what to say during testimony but in terms of how to present evidence in the form of testimony, the seminars are fine.
