Re: bond court

Hello. Bond Court is generally the first court

where a person accused of a crime is taken. This

court sets the bond for a person at a particular

amount to insure that the person will return to

court. Usually, the bond is higher based upon

the severity of the accused criminal act. In theory, a person accused of a crime is innocent, until proven guilty, however we can see that the law contradicts itself somewhat with the existence of a bond court. In other words in our system a person accused of a crime has to "pay their way" out, before trial, only because he/she is accused of a crime. I assume that your friend has been formally placed under arrest. He needs a lawyer. That's the best way to talk to him.
