Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My boyfriend was arrested 17 years ago in Chicago, IL for burglary of a residence. He was put on probation with a 7 year suspended sentence. He did 18 months before being put on probation. He left and moved to FL while on probation 14 years ago, causing a non expeditable warrant to be issued. We want to return back to the Chicago area, however, before doing so, I was wondering what he would be looking at for this old charge and if there are any sort of statue of limitations that would be favorable for him? Thank you in advance!

He could be sentenced under the original charge or the judge could possibly just terminate his probation unsatisfactorily. There are no statute of limitations applicable to this situation.
