Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My boyfriend missed his court date and was picked up on a warrant. He was given no bond because of this. Can his lawyer request a bond and do you think a judge would give him one? Thanks a lot!

An attorney can request that the court reduce your boyfriend's bond to something he can afford to post, however the bond will depend on your boyfriend's criminal history, his history of failing to appear in court and the nature of his offense.
He should definitely have an attorney represent him because that will increase his chances of reducing the bond.
