Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

My car hit a property and had to leave the scene( not intentionally, had valid reasons). Police found me within few minutes and I admitted. Gave me two tickets"failure to reduce speed to avoid accident" and 'failure to give information after striking property'. As I explained everything to the officer, i was not fingerprinted and is scheduled to appear in the court. The officer said there is no criminal charges against me.

How would the District attorney look at this? Is there any chances that my case will be dismissed. I have very clean record so far. will this affect my carrer? I am a physician by profession and have recently applied for state license.

Please advice me.

Thanks is advance.

You should hie an attorney to be sure that you do not take any conviction that would go on your record and probably effect your license. An attorney should be able to either defend the charges or negotiate a plea bargain which will help you to void the convictions.
