Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
My car was vandelised, after making charges against the woman, she made a video singing. the song is called "bust your windows" that she posted on youtube. Can i use this in court? She actually busted the windows out my car, but instead of using the tool she stated in the song she actually used a 4x4 wooden stick. After seeing this video, I am mentally & emotionally drained, its like it is a joke to her especially from this video. Would i be able to use this? Its like she used it to get humor from it, and i dont find it funny.

Yes, you can use the video! You would have to make arrangements with the judge's clerk to show video evidence and probably follow court guidelines about what formats are usable. On the trial date call her as an adverse witness and ask her if she recognizes the person in the video. You can use positive, leading statements: "This is you smashing the left front window." I take it that you are in Cook County. Good luck with this one.
