Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
Ok so I got caught shoplifting at a KMart in Chicago il, the police was not called, I didnt have an ID so they just took my name and address down and had me sign a paper with my address and let me know I would be receiving a citation, I was just wondering should I pay the citation or will I have to go to court? I have been reading that I shouldnt pay the citation and I am unsure of what to do.

Hello. You certainly should hire a lawyer, before you pay a citation. Hiring a lawyer will be your best course of action.
