Re: please help
At trial you can expect the state's attorney to put on the evidence against you. This is usually in the form of testimony from the store personnel and possibly the arresting officer. There are also usually video tapes. Sometimes there is a statement made by the defendant. You can cross examine the witnesses, and you can testify on your own behalf. You should make all of the proper legal objections to any evidence offered imporperly by the other side. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but you should definitely hire an attorney to represent you. A trial may not be necessay. An attorney may be able to negotiate a plea bargain which will keep you out of jail and perhaps even avoid the conviction. Good luck.
