Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois
I was charged with Reckless Discharge of a firearm, it was amended to Reckless Conduct 720ilcs 5/12-5. it Happened 10 years ago, now when someone does a background check on me the clerks office makes the mistake of saying I have a felony, the question is how can I prevent that from happening, it has cost me several jobs.

Hello. Recently an old client of mine had a similar situation. It was necessary for me to go to the 10th floor of the Daley Center in Chicago and we were able to correct the paperwork. I can understand your frustrations. The office of the Clerk is where the solution lies.
