He is a juvenile. I don't know what county you're in, but in many cases in juvenile court, there could be pre-trial diversion. I don't think there would be jail time. Very few juvenile offenders go to jail except repeat offenders and violent offenders. Seek the advice of an experienced criminal lawyer.
